Iranian Nuclear scientist executed in Iran; claimed to be spying for the U.S

An Iranian nuclear scientist was executed in Iran after the state claimed that he would have been spying for the United States. Iranian scientist Shahram Amiri was held captive since 2010.

Reuters states that he was detained since 2010:

Iran has executed an Iranian nuclear scientist detained in 2010 when he returned home from the United States, after a court convicted him of spying for Washington
